Issue 59: The Power of Three (and a Big Announcement)

ISSUE 59

1 OCTOBER 2025 | READ ONLINE

Hi Reader,

Yesterday I was sitting with a storytelling expert, digging into what it really takes to make people lean in. Her advice was simple: anchor everything around three key messages, and then build your story from there.

That conversation couldn’t have come at a better time. Next week, I’ll be officially launching something new: The Institute for Safety Coaching and Leadership (ISCL).

I haven’t shared this here before, so think of this as your sneak peek. And, because you’re part of this Purpose Pathfinders community, I’d love your thoughts before the world hears about it on October 7.

What I Learned from the Conversation

Storytelling is strongest when you can stand on three points like a triangle: one clear message at each corner, each supported with proof.

For ISCL, the three points look like this:

1. We’re launching ISCL.

Founded by me and co-founder David Wollage, ISCL’s vision is simple but bold: to transform how the world understands and practices safety. At its core, this is about creating a professional home for safety coaches and leaders who want to drive real impact.

2. It’s a revolution.

We’re building a global movement. Safety coaching is a new approach to leadership. With research, resources, and a worldwide network, ISCL is reshaping how leaders influence safety today and redefining what leadership looks like in the future.

3. It’s an opportunity.

For safety professionals (and any leader who cares about human sustainability), this is a place to engage, learn, and contribute. Memberships, credentials, and community mean you don’t just watch change happen; we're inviting you to become part of shaping it.

How This Applies to You

Even if you’re not a “safety person,” the storytelling triangle applies in your world, too. Think of your leadership:

  • What’s the one big thing you’re building right now?
  • How is it going to shift or revolutionize the way you, your team, or your company works?
  • Where’s the opportunity for others to engage with you?

When you can answer those three questions clearly, people will both understand your message and remember it (boom!).

This Week, Try This

  • Write down your three key messages for the project or initiative you’re leading right now.
  • Under each, jot three supporting points (why it matters, who benefits, what changes).
  • Share it with someone you trust. Notice how much clearer the story feels.

I’d love to hear from you:

When you look at ISCL, where do you see the greatest value?

Hit reply and let me know.

And, I'll see you next week (please wish us luck for our October 7th launch),

Megan

ISSUE 60 8 OCTOBER 2025 | READ ONLINE Hi Reader, Yesterday I was meant to launch something big. Something I shared with you in last week’s newsletter. This project (this dream, this calling, this next chapter) had a date, a vision, a plan. But yesterday came and went. And I didn’t launch. I could dress it up as strategy, alignment, or timing. But if I'm candid with you, the truth is simpler: I wasn’t ready. And saying that out loud has left me a little unmoored. What I’ve Been Feeling It’s...

ISSUE 58 24 SEPTEMBER 2025 | READ ONLINE Hello Reader, A few months ago, in the middle of a tough season where I felt like I was losing my confidence (and maybe even my way), my coach gently suggested I read The Artist’s Way. Since then, I’ve been borrowing as many of Julia Cameron’s books as I can from the library. And wow - she has a lot. Each one feels like an invitation to return to the quiet voice inside that says: there’s more here for you. What I’ve Been Learning Morning pages are...

ISSUE 57 17 SEPTEMBER 2025 | READ ONLINE Hi Reader, I’m a little late with this week’s newsletter. And how fitting (really), because the story I’m sharing is about something that’s been quietly orbiting Earth for decades before anyone noticed. Astronomers just confirmed something extraordinary: Earth has a new quasi-moon. Now, if you're not an astronomy lover, you might wonder what is a quasi-moon? It isn’t a second Moon (exactly), but a tiny asteroid, estimated at 19 meters wide, that orbits...
